I have never been a yogini. I’m not patient enough. (I’m working on it)
I have always wanted to lift something heavy or move fast! Now that I’m exercising less to reduce stress, my body is enjoying the break.
Every time I tried yoga, I couldn’t make myself enjoy it until I tried a new type of yoga with Clare a while back. I really loved 502 Power Yoga here in Louisville, but it is pretty far from me right now.
After finding that yoga wasn’t so bad, I decided that when I’m feeling antsy on my exercising hiatus I would try some short yoga videos. I have found that yoga really helps me to chill out.
I do these when I have some extra time during nap time. Otherwise, Baby D thinks I’m making myself into his personal jungle gym!
Candace’s videos range from 15 minutes to 1 hour, and I love her soothing (yet not annoying) voice.
I have also found that I am not very flexible, so I’m excited to see how I progress as I do these videos!
Katie’s 25 Days of Yoga is awesome because she incorporates other instructors as well as herself. This is introducing me to different types and styles of yoga that I would have never tried otherwise.
Plus, she has curly hair too.. that is always a bonus in my book! 😉
Another site that I love for yoga is my friend Tina at Tina Reale Yoga. Seriously, if I could do yoga with her every week I would!
She posts awesome videos every Monday, and her videos are 20-30 minutes long. She makes you work those 20-30 minutes too!
Yoga is very new to me, and I won’t say that I am good at it. My body is enjoying the nice stretch. It is also helping me to unwind and decompress. Who knew yoga would turn into such a stress relief for me?!!
Do you do yoga at home?
