I have been all about smoothies for breakfast in the mornings.
This is the first time ever in my life that smoothies have been a meal instead of just a snack. They never filled me up. Used to, I didn’t put protein powder in my smoothies. It just tasted chalky.
With this summer heat, I just can’t do hot breakfasts. Plus, I have an abundance of frozen peaches right now so it’s a win-win.
This is a great on the go breakfast or after a workout.
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 6-8 slices of frozen peach
- 4 ice cubes
- 3/4 cup almond milk (plus extra as needed)
- 1 scoop of plant fusion
- 1 Tbsp hemp seeds (or sub chia or flax)
- 1/4 tsp xanthan gum
- handful of spinach
- Put everything in your blender in the order listed and blend!
I have found that my blender works best if the frozen items are at the bottom with the liquid. However, my blender is not the greatest. Any suggestions on a new one???
Don’t worry about the spinach. I promise you can’t taste it and it is extra nutrients.
Blend until smooth. Feel free to add additional liquid to meet your desired consistancy. I have been liking my smoothies thick and creamy.
This has been keeping me full for hours.
