MIMM: I’m Going to Bootcamp!

by Brittany on January 7, 2013

Happy Marvelous in My Monday!

Did everyone have a great weekend?

This is my first full week back to work after the holidays, so I’m really not ready to go back to work.  Back to real life…

Luvy and I didn’t do too much this weekend.  I sat through a 3 hour CE course on Saturday morning.  Eck.

However, Luvy treated me to Thai that night.  I’ll do just about anything for Thai green curry.

This Monday is extra marvelous because I’m starting Tina’s Best Body Bootcamp and New Year, New Rules today!!

Bootcamp large thumb1

I’ll be modifying the bootcamp to keep it low intensity and low impact, but I’m so excited to be involved.  I won the entry from a fellow FitFluential Ambassador Angie from Losing and Loving It.

I have been wanting to try Tina’s bootcamp since she did the first one, but I just never made time.  Since I have the goal of strength training 3xs a week, this will be perfect!  Plus, I won’t have to come up with what to do at the gym.  Tina has done all the work for me!

Not to mention, I met Tina at Blend and I absolutely fell in love with her.

It is 8 weeks long, so I’ll be sharing my thoughts and progress as time goes along.  Tina wants us to set 2 goals to shoot for throughout these 8 weeks.

For this first 2 weeks, my goals are to drink 3 Nalgene’s full of water and to get 7+ hours of sleep a night.

These are going to be tough for me, but I can do it!!  You all know I am terrible at drinking water when it is cold outside.  I know my body will be happier with more water and sleep.

I won’t have to change too much of my diet for New Year, New Rules, but we will discuss more of that on Wednesday.  :)

I’m so excited to take you all through these two programs with me!!

What is Marvelous in your Monday?

Has anyone done Tina’s bootcamp or is anyone doing it this round?

Anyone doing New Year, New Rules?

Good luck with boot camp! I am trying to drink more water too, and for some reason the nalgenes make it much easier :)

I’ve never tried Boot Camp, but everyone who has seems to rave about it, so I hope your experience is just as good :D And man oh man could I benefit from trying to get 7 hours of sleep a night. I’ve been averaging about 5 or 6 lately, and it’s definitely not enough :(

Yay! Can’t wait to hear what you think of the program! I’ve been considering it, but haven’t made the purchase, maybe next round. Yah, I could really, really use extra sleep I just suck at it ha. Not sure how that’s even possible, but for me it seems to be. Can’t wait to hear about the diet change.

Tina’s bootcamp was great! I stuck to doing the low-intensity version as well. I learned a lot. Good luck to you! I’m going to incorporate more cardio to my fitness routine this year ;) .

You are going to love Tina’s bootcamp! I did the first round and it was a great change of pace. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts as you go through it!

I haven’t done the bootcamp, but I should be…mostly because I have been slacking on the strength training! I am proud of myself for keeping up so well with my running and ellipticalizing (totally a word, right?) over winter break, but I have definitely let any weight-lifting fly away with Rudolph.

I haven’t done Tina’s bootcamp but have heard fab things about it and it seems like more and more people that I know are doing it, especially this round! If I wasn’t already signed up for TNT at our gym I’d totally be up for the challenge :P Best of luck, I bet you’ll do awesome!

Great water and sleep goals! I desperately need to do the same. I’m so bad at sleeping these days!

I loved Tina’s bootcamp when I did it over the summer! Her moves are so unique and the goals really did help me stay on track. I’m hoping that once I heel up properly, I am going to start it again (I think she’s going to keep on offering them).

I’ve never done Tina’s boot camp, but I love all kinds of boot camps. Bring on the strength training and good luck.

How funny, I am doing the bootcamp as well! I panicked a bit because my life has gone straight to out of control all of a sudden and I was worried this was going to be too involved, but I think I can stay on track. My first two goals are not falling asleep to the TV (this is a hard one for me) and flossing nightly.
