MIMM #34 Marvelous and Sweet

by Brittany on January 21, 2013

Happy Marvelous In My Monday, friends!

Are you all ready to tackle this week?

I think I tend to have a ‘case of the Mondays’ every week, so looking back at all the marvelous things from this weekend helps me get through my Monday!

This weekend was pretty low key.  I hung out with my friend and business partner, Cindy, for quite a while.  Also, my sweet friend Amanda and I finally got to hang out!!

Photo

Isn’t she beautiful??  All my friends are gorgeous.  We went to Trader Joe’s.  Amanda hadn’t been there before, so I loved walking through with her.  She found things that I hadn’t noticed before!  I wish we could hang out every week.  It was refreshing.

Other than that and cleaning my house, I didn’t do too much.  I am still recovering I suppose and my body still needs naps.  On Saturday I took close to a 4 hour nap.  I’m glad to give my body the rest it needs, but this is getting annoying.  I’m ready to be full of energy again and get the show on the road!  Ya know???  However, I’m not going to feel guilty about letting myself rest.  Right?

Since I’m resting, I’m so behind on blog and comments.  Please forgive me.  I haven’t forgot you all!!

I read each and every one of your comments.  I’m just behind on responding.

Speaking of… Devon recently let me know she nominated me for the Super Sweet Blogger Award!

She is pretty darn marvelous and sweet to give me this!  :)

Here are the questions I’m supposed to answer for the award:

1. Cookies or Cake?

Cookies!  Especially if they have chocolate chips in them!

2. Chocolate or Vanilla?

Depends on what I’m going for.  I love hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookies, but I prefer vanilla ice cream and vanilla protein powder.  So, I would say this is about equal!

3. What is your favorite sweet treat?

Frozen sorbet!

Or, if I want something really sweet, which is rare, I go for my Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie!  I don’t have a serious sweet tooth.  I never crave chocolate or a cookie.  This is even less so now that I’ve completed New Year, New Rules.

4. When do you crave sweet things the most?

If I do crave something sweet, it is at night before bed.

5. If you had a sweet nickname, what would it be?

Oh law…. Luvy calls me Luv.  I haven’t ever really been much of a nickname person.  Shocking I know since I call my hubby by one… right??

Tell me… What is your favorite sweet treat?

What do you crave sweet things?

What is Marvelous in your Monday??

I wish that I didn’t crave sugar, but I have such a big sweet tooth! At the same time, I don’t crave salty things like some people do, so I guess it’s a trade off!

I stopped craving sugar when I stopped eating so much of it. I’ve never had a salty craving either! I’ve never understood that craving! lol

I usually more afternoon (although after dinner is a close second). Imagine if I took an afternoon nap! I am probably more of a cookie person too, although often I will just eat chocolate and call it good. :)

Have a great week! Today I have a case of the Mondays too! How strange, normally they are my reset.

My sweet tooth definitely hits me hard before bed too. And it seems first thing in the morning, since my breakfasts tend to be “sweet”. But, I don’t really crave sugar, more fruit I guess. Even though that has sugar ha. No need to apologize friend, make sure you get that rest and feel better!

Whoa… chocolate peanut butter pie. That. Looks. Decadent. I have only had something like that once in my life and I have been searching for something similar ever since…

If I give you one of the chocolate chip oatmeal cookies that I baked this weekend, will your case of the Mondays go away? :D Hope so! I definitely have a sweet tooth, but I don’t usually find myself craving things like candy and chocolate – I go more towards fruit, which I honestly probably eat way too much of

Don’t feel guilty about sleeping so much; it’s your body’s way of recovering and pretty soon, you’ll be back on track in no time.

I don’t have much of a sweet tooth either, but that being said, if you put dessert in front of me, I will most certainly eat it and enjoy it! I have a real weakness for anything citrus (lemon pound cake, key lime pie) or caramel.

Also, I can relate to the feeling a bit down about being sick. I was sick last week and did nothing but lay around…which made me feel super guilty and I felt like the more I laid around, the lazier I was becoming. I’m finally at 100% and ready to get moving again! As guilty as it makes you feel, your body needs the rest!

The marvelous in my Monday was having the day off!

So much sweet in this post…I don’t think I have too big of a sweet tooth, but it really comes and goes. Usually at night I want fruit or something like that, so I guess that counts. Also occasionally mid-afternoon, which I think is just my body’s way of telling me I need to eat again, not that I need chocolate. :)

I’m worried about you. You need to get well.

P.S. You beat yourself up too much about responding to comments and whatnot. I do it, too, but try to stress about it! We love you whenever (if ever) you have a chance to respond.
