I just wanted to pop in today and say Merry Christmas!
It is amazing how fast this Christmas snuck up on me. I am going to be taking the rest of the week away from the blog so I can focus on family and Baby D’s first Christmas.
I pray that you all have a wonderful and blessed Christmas with those you love.
I hope it is full of snuggles…
More than anything I pray you never forget the reason for Christmas.
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” (Luke 2:8-14)
Christmas is so much more magical and sentimental now that we have Baby Delight. As a parent, I can’t imagine God’s heartbreak as He sent his one and only Son into the world that would crucify him. It makes me all the more thankful for the sacrifice and the blessing of Christmas.
From our family to yours, Merry Christmas!
