Get Fit With Me: YouTube Strength Videos

Hey friends!

Happy Tuesday!!  I hope everyone survived this past Monday.  Was it just me, or was Monday a doozy??  

I talked to you all a while ago about how I am decreasing the intensity of my exercising… remember?  Well, I told you all that I have been doing a lot of yoga, pilates, and other youtube videos.  Well, I thought for the next couple of weeks I would share some “Get Fit With Me” posts where I share some of my favorite at home workout videos.

I’m too cheap to join a gym, and I get distracted at my church’s gym.  Videos are a great way for me to stay engaged and active!

Now, you all have NO EXCUSE for not workout out!  ;)  Some of these videos I don’t do anymore since they are higher in intensity, but you all can enjoy them!

Today is all about Strength Videos on YouTube

The Butt Bible Lower Levels 1-3 and Upper Levels 1-3.  These are killer on the tush!  I still do both of the level 1′s every now and then.  Plus, Pauline Nordin is super motivating!

Valerie Waters: One Dumbbell Total Body Tone Workout

I have been doing the Valerie Waters workout more than any others using a 5lb weight.   

Muscle is the key to burning fat, so make sure you always get in your strength workouts!

These are just a few of my favorite strength workouts on YouTube.  I’m sure a missed several good ones!

I only have one workout video – 30 Day Shred, but I find it hard to do in my apartment because I don’t want to disturb the tenants below (the cardio is all jumping!). I think one day when we have a house, I’ll totally be into videos for workout out! I waste so much time driving back and forth to the gym!

I’m not big on working out at home (except for 20 min yoga) because I have a hard time staying motivated with all of the distractions all around me. But sometimes it’s my only way to get in a workout and I have to. If that’s the case, the shorter, the better. ;)

I do all of my work outs at home, currently have Chalean Extreme, Turbo Fire and P90X…can you tell I work for Beachbody ;) I tried getting a gym membership, but I realized it’s just not for me.

I love working out at home, I actually prefer it to the gym and only go to the gym for spin classes. I have more motivation at home, which a lot of people say they don’t but whatever ha ha.
Plus, then we don’t have to waste extra time driving to/from the gym:)

What always makes me laugh is some of the names for at home workout stuff: the Butt Bible? The Thigh Master? The Shake Weight – although that is more funny thanks to all the spoofs on it. :)

Anyway, I suppose I sort of work out at home? I will admit I am more of a push-up/sit-up routine and that is about as exciting as it gets. I do totally love seeing fun short videos or challenges on blogs and I try them.

I love these links are to short and sweet videos too…attention span you know.
