Back to The Hills

Hey friends!

This weekend, Luvy and I were in our home state of Tennessee for a wedding and to see family and friends.

I had a nasty cough for most of the weekend, so I didn’t get out as much as I would have liked, but it was still a marvelous weekend.

Besides, there is no place like the hills of East Tennessee to help you feel better.  ;)

Marvelous is:

Eating Thai with Luvy’s parents.  Even more marvelous is when his mother asks me to take a picture of her food too!  :)

We ate at Thai Basil.  They were very accommodating to make sure everything was gluten and soy free.

Can you guess which one is mine??

Marvelous is:

Getting to watch Luvy play the piano in the mornings.

… and hearing him play for April to sing at the wedding.

I could listen to those two all day long!

Marvelous is:

Getting all dressed up for the wedding

and hanging out with friends who we never get enough time with.

Marvelous is:

Getting to worship with First Baptist Sevierville where Luvy worked in college and see everyone, including Luvy’s mentor Scott Andrews.

Scott’s daughter was the bride at the wedding, and it meant the world to Luvy that they asked him to come back to be the pianist for her wedding.

It was marvelous to hear Dan Spencer preach.  He has become my favorite East Tennessee pastor.  (and I’m not just saying that because he happens to read my blog!  I mean it!)

You can just tell that God has given him a heart for people and that he really cares about you as an individual.  We have only been around him a couple times, and I feel like I’ve known him for years.

I might have been a bit under the weather, but it was still marvelous to be in East Tennessee.

Happy Marvelous in My Monday friends!

What is marvelous in your Monday?

What did you do this weekend?

I love your dress! Looks like a marvelous weekend! I had a pretty good weekend, the weather was perfect! Felt like early October! So definitely got my running in, celebrated my brothers bday, and went to church (another great sermon on why Jesus ate with sinners)
